After 37 years of a government that mismanaged the economy and greatly restricted the democratic liberties of its citizens, Zimbabwe is writing a new chapter in its history. Independent news organizations are popping up, but they will require help to survive in a society that still struggles with great economic and social challenges and a government that is quick to fall back into the anti-democratic habits of its predecessor.
